We only use top quality organic and fairtrade coffee from Africa and South America. The respective varieties and related descriptions can be found in our shop at the individual articles www.velibre.com/shop
We do not plan to increase the range of our expresso and lungo blends as we believe that 5 unique blends are enough. However, we are currently working a decaffeinated coffee which we plan to bring out at the end of the 2017.
A coffee capsule is a small container, usually made of plastic, aluminum or other material, which comprises a small quantity of ground bean coffee. Coffee capsules are inserted into coffee machines which push hot water through the capsules which creates a coffee.
It is simple – ease, comfort and price. With coffee capsules you can prepare a high quality low-cost drink in the environment of your choice.
It means that something is capable of being broken down (decomposed) by the action of microorganisms which (for example) may include food, garden waste. The Velibre coffee capsules consist of a biodegradable plastic and a cellulose-based filter paper, which can be decomposed at room temperature by microorganisms in the soil.
You can dispose of the Velibre capsule using your garden compost or by putting it into your general waste.
The biodegradability of our coffee capsules depends on the nature and temperature of the composting. It is not possible to say exactly, but below tests in a laboratory environment show the following results:
The Velibre coffee capsules are compatible with the usual Nespresso®* machines that are used in private households.
There are many. Nespresso® * is the best-selling coffee capsule in Germany. The sister brand Dolce Gusto (from Nescafé), Tassimo (from Bosch) and Cafissimo (from Tchibo) are popular alternatives. These manufacturers also offer cut-to-size coffee capsules. However, there are also many coffee capsules manufacturers, which offer capsules compatible with different systems. The selection here is very large and varies greatly in price and quality.
The Velibre capsules can only be used in Nespresso®* machines.
We use a bio-plastic material which is slightly harder than the aluminium used by Nespresso® *. You do not have to worry about it as your machine will not be damaged. However, it is important that you push the lever vigorously, otherwise the capsule will not puncture properly.
No it will not. This is because no manufacturer may prohibit the use of compatible products.
